Organiser of Radio Lollipop joins with Darcey Bussell for a DDMIX Class!
Star of BBCs Strictly Come Dancing – Darcey Bussell – has agreed to support Radio Lollipop (based at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital) to host a one-hour fun DDMIX fitness Class on Monday 23rd April 2018 @18:30 – 19:30 BST.
Radio Lollipop’s aim is to raise income and our profile in Manchester to potentially encourage new volunteers.
Doors open at 5.30pm and tickets to attend the class are available to book here on eventbrite… Members of the CarLease UK team shall be in attendance and showing support for this local Manchester charity and all the hard work and happiness they create for the young patients, staff and parents of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Radio Lollipop volunteers provide care, comfort, play and entertainment to sick children across many international locations since 1979, in particular locally at the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital since 1991.
Our volunteers are on the wards in the evenings 6pm-8pm and at weekends when there is little for the children, siblings and parents/carers to do. Radio Lollipop provides fun and entertainment that gets everyone involved with engaging activities.
The statistics prove that whilst our volunteers are live and active on the wards, fewer pain killers are issued and it’s true happy children do get better quicker…
