Volvo have come to the market with a trio of models recognising the importance of business users to the manufacturer. The S60, V60 and V70 have replaced the ES Nav and ES models and have been reduced in price by £3000, this will reduce the Benefit in Kind tax that you pay. In our opinion the spec is just right, with the standard kit from the ES carried over and then they have added the company car driver must have toys, including sat-nav, improved audio, Bluetooth and rear parking sensors.
Available from as little as £195 per month, the V60 will sell in large numbers. The 1.6 litre diesel is refined and frugal, with an average consumption of 62 mpg. If you have a long day on the road and don’t want to stop too often, then this is the car for you. The engine is clean at 119g/km emissions, this puts it in the 18% BIK band including the 3% diesel surcharge. If you have a company or cash allowance the V60 is worth including in your short list, with reduced price and great economy.
If you are lucky enough to use your company car for private use, the V60 is a great family car, with good luggage capacity and room for five adults. It is not a car that you will want to leave at work on a Friday night.
