Bath considers a clean air zone
A consultation has been launched to discuss the introduction of a Clean Air Zone in Bath. It will charge vehicles that are pre Euro 4 Petrol or pre Euro 6 Diesel after the end of 2020.
Initial indications are that a non-compliant HGV or bus will be charged £100 for each day inside the zone and car, taxis and small vans will be charged about £9.
The BVRL have written to all authorities considering clean air zones to produce a standard system, such as that in place in France or Germany.
