Always a pleasure to deliver our local customers their new cars, particularly when they are as beautiful as this SUV – the Mercedes GLC.
Our business leasing customer, from Wigan (Greater Manchester), visited the team to collect their replacement vehicle recently.
Are lease cars not delivered to a customer’s home or business address? Absolutely they are! When you arrange a new car with your leasing broker or finance company, the quotation you are provided with should include certain aspects, one of which is free UK mainland delivery.
For our customers in Northern Ireland, this does mean that they need to make arrangements to collect the car from CarLease UK premises or meet one of the delivery drivers at the port.
For customers within the UK most cars will be “driven” to them. What this means is that a representative from a logistics company will physically drive the car from the PDI centre to the customer. Obviously this does mean the car will incur mileage and some road-wear. However, for most finance companies the delivery mileage is offset against the contract mileage, so this isn’t take into account within the allotted mileage (that 100 or so miles is just taken off). Additionally, the delivery driver should wash the vehicle before it is handed to a customer, so that they can properly inspect the condition of it.
To help customers we have produced some basic guides on the delivery and acceptance process to ensure this is handled smoothly.
For our Greater Manchester lease customers, we do offer a more personal service, whereby the vehicle is delivered directly to our premises and then customer can collect it from the team here. This means we can check the vehicle on their behalf and personally handover the vehicle; some customers will have questions and queries on the operation of their new car so we can help to answer them.
