Another local customer from Wigan (Greater Manchester) collected their new van leasing deal; the Ford Transit Custom 290 L1 Dsl FWD 2.0 TDCi 130ps Low Roof D/Cab Limited.
The customer opted for the following configuration:
· Moondust Silver Metallic Paint;
· Grey Cloth Interior; and
· Ply Lining (to be performed after delivery).
The Transit custom is one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicles in terms of pure sales volume. In October of this year, the manufacturer made adjustments to the engine to create their “Euro 6” range. This means you now have the option on the following 3 engines – 105ps, 130ps and 170ps via a 1996cc engine size (2.0 TDCi).
In terms of specification, the van driver has the option for a base model, the Trend Specification or the Limited, which is the vehicle displayed here. If you do go for the top of the range you do get many great comforts such as front and rear parking sensors, body coloured mirrors/bumpers/mouldings, fog lights, 16” alloy wheels, cruise control, privacy glass (where applicable) and air conditioning. The only missing item (which we do think is a little remiss) is satellite navigation. If you elect for the ICE Pack 11, you do benefit from the integrated navigation system. However, with many competing brands offering this as standard with their top specification vehicles, perhaps Ford have been a tad greedy?
With competition from the Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault traffic, Mercedes Vito and the Volkswagen Transporter would you be sticking with the Ford or would you choose one of the options noted??!!
