Another happy local pickup leasing customer, based in Wigan (Manchester), collected their new Ford Ranger Diesel Pick Up Double Cab Limited 2 2.2 TDCi Manual last week.
The Ranger is our most popular pickup of 2016; in particular the 3.2 TDCi 200ps Wildtrak Auto has been hugely successful. As we lease vehicles to delivery drivers, caravan enthusiasts and those involved in the construction industry who need to tow a trailer, the 3.2 200ps is more than ideal. However, the 160ps 2.2 TDCi, as per the one shown here, is more than suitable if you don’t require amazing pulling power and torque. Plus you will get a marginal cost saving on the MPG based on the smaller engine.
In terms of “ranges”, the Limited is well-stocked with heated front/rear windows, privacy glass, Bluetooth, reversing sensors, leather upholstery and heated driver’s seat. To be bring the truck in-line with the Wildtrak you need to add the rear view camera and the satellite navigation. Additionally, customers will add front parking sensors due to the sheer size of the vehicle. As you get a load-liner standard with the Limited and Wildtrak, you do have a small cost-saving there (this is an additional option with many other manufacturers). Some customers go for the Limited as you get a more low-key leather upholstery compared to the brash orange interior of the Wildtrak.
In terms of specification for this vehicle, our northwest customer went for:
· Moondust silver metallic paint;
· Soho Grain Leather – Ebony
· 17″ Alloy Wheels
Which pickup would you go for – the Nissan Navara, the Mitsubishi L200 or the Toyota HiLux? Or you would you go more upmarket with the Ranger show here or the VW Amarok. We have just launched a fanatic deal on the Amarok Highline (bit.ly/2hzv4a6) so it will be interesting to see which vehicle customers will go for!
