Another thank you to our short-term car rental partners, Enterprise, for allowing us to demo the latest addition to the fleet – the Mazda CX-5 DIESEL ESTATE 2.2d SE-L Nav 5dr Auto.
While we offer a number of different contract lengths and deals here at CarLease UK (18, 24, 36 and 48 months), we cannot offer daily or weekly rental. As such, any enquiries from our local customer database in the Leigh, Wigan and St Helens area are always directed to Enterprise for their great levels of service, fantastic value and varied fleet. In particular, if you are a company and are looking for a short-term solution for a new employee on a probation period, it is often more prudent to use hire or flexi-lease before committing to a long-term contract hire agreement.
For those customers with poor credit, car hire can offer a short term solution while they arrange their credit status to be improved.
The car shown is another of the ever-popular SUV/cross-over vehicles which have flooded the UK automotive market over the last 3 years. The harsh-reality of life is that many customers, particularly with families, can no longer afford to run multiples of cars. This means that you need to get a car which covers all bases and meets all you needs/requirements – space, aesthetics, driving position, specification. The appetite for less-practical sports cars has reduced dramatically and so you can see the investment which car manufacturers are throwing into this new phenomenon.
Mazda, one of the lesser-known brands, has joined this fluid market with their “baby” CX-3 and the bigger CX-5. It will be interesting to see if they jump into the hybrid and eco-aspect of the market.
· Mica – Jet black
· Cloth – Black
· 17″ alloy wheels
The SE-L is competent level of specification vehicle with a number of great features as standard – privacy glass, rain sensing wipers, smart city brake, Bluetooth, cruise control, front/rear parking sensors, 7” touch screen, navigation, body coloured external features, LED headlights and fog lights, 17” alloy wheels, Thatcham Cat 1 alarm, immobiliser and twin exhaust pipes. Like many of the east Asian car manufacturers, it is not possible to add any further factory options to the car; you just need to upgrade the car. With the CX-5, you can upgrade to the “sport” for some competent extras.
On the technical-side, company car drivers can note the P11d of £27,500.00 and CO2 at 147 g/km for a standard vehicle. The 2191 CC 6 speed auto engine delivers 150ps, 0-62 times of 10 seconds and combined MPG of 50.4. Service intervals are set at every 12 months.
So would the Mazda, with a reputation for quality and driving-experience, be your SUV leasing option? Or would you choose one of the other favourites – Nissan Qashqai, Peugeot 3008, Hyundai Tuscon or Kia Sportage??
