A big thank you to our existing personal lease customer for sending thorough pictures of their new car, the Audi S4, alongside their current vehicle (the VW Golf GTD).
It’s always great to see a customer’s transitions through different cars as their careers develop. In this case, we originally supplied a Ford Fiesta 1.6 almost 6 years ago and now the customer is driving an incredible performance vehicle in the Audi S4.
Replacing your lease car should not be too difficult, so long as you have carried out the necessary practical steps. When looking to return (and replace) your vehicle you need to consider two key questions: 1) what condition should my current vehicle be in; and 2) what vehicle will I replace the current with (and when).
The second point, about what car and when, is very much a personal decision. With continued changes by our Government on VED, fuel choices and now WLTP, you do need think carefully about when you make your decision. For example, as all cars registered on or after 1 September 2018 must adhere to WLTP standards, there will significant delays on factory order cars. Therefore some customers who require a car October/November/December, may be best-placed in taking a pre-registered car (many will be registered in August) to ensure they receive a vehicle. The issue is that some factory order vehicles will be delayed and if your vehicle must be returned, you may end-up in a situation where you have no vehicle.
Make sure you research your options well in advance and do not be led on price alone; this is about finding a car which meets your needs and requirements.
