Thank you to our existing business leasing customer, from Bamber Bridge (Preston), for sending photographs of their new car – the BMW 5 Series estate.
While we endeavour to make very transaction as seamless as possible, unfortunately this new vehicle was not without its challenges. Managing a difficult process raises a number of questions about what a customer needs to do. In this case, BMW had undertaken a number of changes to their vehicles in-line with the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) – something which is affecting all vehicles.
In terms of the car shown here, the BMW 5 SERIES DIESEL TOURING 520d M Sport 5dr Auto, this is based on the following configuration:
· Alpine white Solid Paint
· Dakota leather – Black/Black world with exclusive stitching
· Aluminium rhombicle interior trim with pearl chrome finish
· 18″ M double spoke light alloy wheels – style 662M
· Sun protection glass
As standard the car includes Bluetooth, front/rear parking distance control, 18” alloys, sports eats, leather upholstery, electric adjustable seats, LED headlights, air conditioning, heated windscreen and jets, rain sensor with light activation, dynamic traction control, hill start assist, 20GB hard drive, automatic bootlid operation, digital cockpit, navigation (professional multimedia), idrive with 10.2” colour display monitor, body coloured mirror, electric and heated door mirrors, DAB radio, M aerodynamic body kit, LED daytime lights and fog lights, multifunction steering wheel, gearshift paddles, crash sensor, heated front seats, tyre pressure monitoring system, warning triangle and first kit and a Thatcham Cat Alarm. In terms of additional factory options, consider sun protection glass, the BMW display key and the M Sport Plus Pack.
On the technical-side, company car and business users can note the P11d at £43,450.00 and CO2 at 125g/km for a standard car. The 1995CC 8 speed auto engine delivers 58.8 combined MPG, 190ps and 0-62 times of 7.8 seconds. Service intervals on a diesel 5 series are every 24 months or 15,500 miles whichever lands sooner. As such, consider a driver maintained vs funder-maintained arrangement.
So would you select the 5 series diesel estate as your preferred estate leasing option? With great lease car alternatives available with nationwide delivery perhaps the Mercedes E Class, Jaguar XF sportbrake and Audi A6 Avant are more your thing, the decision is a tough one!
