Ford has reported excellent profits in China and from the US itself. Europe, still slow, but growing again
Losses of $350m in Europe have been more than covered by the $2.4bn from the US and China. The Indian market is still to report
China has grown by more than half this year and the US truck and van market has boomed. The F-series truck has risen in sales volume by over 20% in the last year in the US
Europe has continued to be expensive though. Losses of about $1.79bn have been exaggerated by settlements with Belgian unions at the Ghent Transit factory and the cost of moving production to Turkey
