Base vehicles vary from a standard 3.5 tonne panel van which will be modified from scratch, to a factory produced minibus, subject to the scale of the conversion that is required.
Once you establish the model of your minibus, we need to arrange your required specification. This can even include the seating as a standard minibus will not always have the seating set up that is needed. Minibuses for disabled people will need special conversion and access to them will require either a side electric step or a tail lift to be fitted. We can arrange the modifications for you in advance and deliver the completed unit to you.
Additionally, alterations to a minibus may include roof racks and complete minibus heating. This may be carried out using heat exchangers or even a Webasto diesel-powered heater that works independently of the engine. Where required, the minibus can have insulation for sound and heat, great for winter holiday companies. For the summer months, air-conditioning can be added.
Health and safety rules will often require that you have fire extinguishers, first aid kits and reversing sensors and /or camera. Tomorrow I will look at licensing requirements.
