Business Contract Hire Vehicles & Company Cars for European Companies Operating in the UK… The Facts
Is it possible for a European company to lease a company car or van in the UK? If you are a European-based business operating, or considering operating, in the UK then it may be interesting for you to know that we can offer vehicle funding solutions for your business. It is often considered that a non-UK company will be unable to lease a vehicle due to the underwriting process. Therefore, these companies will go down the car rental route (this requires no underwriting but is much more expensive) or will offer their employees a cash-allowance (this is sometimes unpopular with the individual employee).
The good news is that there are leasing options available to the business.
Our business operates as a leasing broker which means that we work alongside a select number of the UK’s leading finance companies and franchised dealerships; this allows our customers to benefit from a selection of finance products, enhanced vehicle discounts and competitive finance terms. Price is not the only consideration; in addition, we work on consultative basis and commit to give the best professional service.
Just check our Trustpilot reviews to see why we are consistently ranked as one of top leasing brokers in the UK year on year.
Most of our European-based customers want definitive and clear solutions. This is why most of them choose a “funder-maintained” contract hire agreement. By including the cost for the finance rentals, servicing, maintenance, tyres (including punctures in some cases) and breakdown recovery this solution brings certainty of cost to your business and a fantastic after-sales support service. Our focus is to save your business both time and money while minimising risk.
There are a number of qualification requirements for the finance providers we work with.
In most cases this is a simple process. For us to assist your business we will need some, or all, or the following:
• The address and telephone number for your registered UK office;
• Details of your UK bank account (sort code and account number);
• If applicable, any registration details with Companies House (and any filed documents);
• The email address of the signing director – many of the finance documents we send will need to be signed electronically;
• For any European company with an individual shareholder with over 25% equity (shareholding), we do need some details of the shareholder; and
• Your latest accounts translated into English.
If you do need further information, just contact our team or send an email directly to firstname.lastname@example.org with a synopsis of your company and the vehicles required.
