Ford has dominated the UK commercial vehicle market since the mid-sixties with the Transit, when it was launched. Built in an old aircraft factory, it was an immediate hit . The look of the Transit was only changed slightly over the next twenty years, but was mechanically modified year on year until a major facelift in the early 90’s.
