It’s not often we supply a car that makes you think “wow” but this is almost certainly an exception to the rule. With the support of our leading BMW supplier, BMW Park Lane in London, we supplied a business contract hire customer in London with a replacement vehicle – the BMW M4 CONVERTIBLE M4 2dr DCT [Competition Pack].
As this is such a luxury, and performance, vehicle, we organised a special handover for our customer at the Park Lane offices, so they could experience the type of service our customers deserve.
As you can imagine, the customer was thrilled to replace their BMW 228i convertible with the bigger brother which is the 4 series. As we were discussing in a recent blog, we offer a number of different deals including stock vehicles, allocation deals and factor order deals.
When you do want something quite specific, and bespoke, which is in the luxury segment we do suggest that you make a decision circa 6 months before the intended delivery date.
Factory orders are not something which we, as your credit broker, can specifically control. If time is of the essence, you might want to consider going for a stock vehicle or a car which is due to arrive in the UK within the timescales you require.
We do stress to customers that we never make delivery dates a condition of the contract, as this is beyond our control.
In terms of the beautiful car shown here, the M4 CONVERTIBLE M4 2dr DCT [Competition Pack], this is based on the following configuration:
Black Sapphire Metallic Paint
Extended Individual Merino leather – Sakhir Orange
Carbon fibre interior trim with black chrome finish
Individual high gloss shadow line
20″ light forged alloy wheels M Star spoke style 666M with mixed tyres
Advanced parking pack – M3/M4
Convertible comfort pack – M4
Harman/Kardon surround sound system
As you envisage, the standard M4 is a well-stocked vehicle. Some of the standard features included – intermittent wipers, heated washer jets, rain sensing wipers, auto lights, dynamic stability and traction control, hill start assist, m sports suspension, enhanced Bluetooth, cruise control, wi-fi hot spot preparation, electrically folding mirrors, sliding armrest, extended light package, media package, crash sensor, warning triangle and first aid kit, 20” alloys, front/rear distance sensors, advanced loudspeaker system, LED headlights, individual leather, adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, Thatcham cat 1 alarm and immobiliser. In terms of additional factory options, consider the ceramic brakes (£5,000!!), head up display, reversing camera, and convertible comfort package for the complete car.
On the technical side, the standard car has a P11d of £66,770.00 and CO2 of 203g/km. As a result, if you are a company car/business user, you do need to accurately calculate the tax liability (your benefit in kind) before progressing with a new vehicle. Using the P11d value, the CO2 of the a vehicle plus your rate of income tax, you can work out the monthly tax liability. The 2979CC semi-auto twin turbo engine delivers 450ps, 0-62 time of 4.3 seconds and combined MPG of 32.5.
So would the BMW M4 be your luxury leasing option or would you be going to Audi for the A5 Quattro Convertible or the Mercedes C63 AMG Convertible or perhaps a Porsche 911 is more your cup of tea? How could you possibly decide between these awesome options!
