Most people will be waking up this morning to the pleasant sound of wind, rain, sleet and snow. For those in the higher regions they will be enjoying the extremities of the UK’s weather system and maybe even some Thundersnow!
Thankfully, for our existing Stoke on Trent based customer, he will be receiving a brand new Ford Ranger Diesel Pick Up Double Cab Wildtrak 3.2 Tdci 200 Auto (Browse Deals) which is being personally delivered to him by one of our sales team at CarLease UK / Van Lease UK! Our customer, who owns and manages a growing construction and joinery business, has been leasing cars and vans from us for the last 6 years. From the Peugeot Bipper he began with to the Peugeot Expert he is replacing, we have seen a tremendous amount of loyalty and it gives us a massive pleasure to deliver such a fantastic vehicle to him. Long-term customers are the backbone of our contract hire business.
In terms of configuration, he has elected for the following on his truck:

· Front Parking Sensors
Until the recent launch of the Volkswagen AMAROK A33 D/Cab Pick Up 3.0 V6 TDI 224 BMT 4M Auto, the Ranger has been the true class-leader. The 3.2TDCI 200ps engine offers a sufficient amount of power and torque; while admittedly not fantastic for fuel consumption (32.1MPG) the Ranger does offer a great level of towing capability. Many caravan enthusiasts or those involved in towing/logistics, gravitate to this engine. Just to note – you can add a towbar with 13 pin electrics as a factory option. This can sometimes be cheaper than a dealer or 3rd party accessory fit. From experience, we know there are some issues for the electrics on a caravan, so you do need to purchase an adapter for this purpose.
From a specification perspective, the 4 Wheel Drive pick-up offers a number of creature comforts – heated front/rear windows, privacy glass, Bluetooth, rear view camera, satellite navigation, premium carpet mats, 8 adjustable seats, heated seats, 18” Alloys and a Thatcham category 1 alarm. Plus, you do get a load liner for the “bed” as standard unlike many competitors.
With winter now settling in nicely, which pick-up leasing option would you choose – the Ford Ranger, VW Amarok, Nissan Navara or the Mitsubishi L200. Or, should it be released, would you consider the Mercedes X-Class?
