A big thank you to our local Honda dealer for coming to visit us in this little beauty – the Honda JAZZ HATCHBACK 1.3 EX 5dr Manual.
The Jazz is very much Honda’s answer to the Ford Fiesta, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio and Citroen C3, as they look to fulfil the small car market demand.
Small cars are always in demand, regardless of the economy, and so manufactures really do go to head to head in this segment. This segment is really only second to the SUV and crossover market, which has become the UK’s number 1 battleground.
Finding a cheap leasing deal, a vehicle in the region of £120-150 per month, is no longer a difficult task. Customers are spoiled for choice with an array of good options.
There really isn’t a bad car in production so the best cheap deal is very much a subjective question and it will fall to the customer as to which is their preference.
If you are looking for a “value” proposition, you do need to consider all the relevant facts and costs involved. With contract hire and leasing, you have the option of having a driver or funder maintained vehicle. In the case of the former, you are agreeing to organise all the costs of servicing, maintenance and tyres replacements yourself. So while a rental may appear affordable, you need to factor in the costs of all the running costs, fuel costs and insurance costs. We therefore suggest you consider a funder-maintained quote, in order to make an accurate cost comparison between you maintaining the vehicle and for the cost of this to be included.
Additionally, as this is a question many young-drivers are now asking, it is important to look at the insurance costs on the vehicle. Contract hire and leasing does not include an insurance policy, nor is there a way to include this within the agreement.
Before deciding to proceed with us, or a similar credit broker, do get insurance quotes for a variety of vehicles so you can work out which is the best route for you to go.
We appreciate that many young-drivers will often pay more for their insurance premiums than they do for the vehicle but this is just an unfortunately difficulty of running a vehicle. For example the car shown here is in insurance group 13E.
· Metallic – Shining Grey
· Cloth – Black/brown
· 16″ alloy wheels
· Sports Pack
In terms of the car shown, this is the premium specification range for the model. As standard you get automatic wipers, rear privacy glass, brake assist, hill start assist, stability assit, Bluetooth, cruise control, collision warning, front/rear parking sensors, lane departure system, rear view camera, 7” touchscreen navigation, eletrically retractable door mirrors, high beam assist, LED lights, 16” alloys and smart entry system. There is very little you can add to the vehicle as additioanl factory options – consider the premium pack, sport pack (which the vehicle has) or the illumination pack.
In terms of technical information, company car drivers can note the £18,090.00 P11d and the CO2 at 120g/km. The 1318CC 6 speed manual engine delivers 102ps, 55.4 combined MPG and 0-62 times of 11.5 seconds.
So would the Honda Jazz be your favourite small car leasing deal? Or would you be heading to the competition?
