A big thank you to our existing business leasing customer, a large facilities maintenance group based in Nottingham, for sending pictures of their newest addition to the fleet!
Replacing a diesel Nissan Qashqai N-Tec, the company car driver was more than thrilled to find out that his monthly budget would actually include the car shown, a Jaguar XE Diesel Saloon 2.0d R-Sport 4dr Auto (browse deal.) With the driver covering fairly high mileages, circa 25,000 miles per annum, he needed a car which was comfortable, had automatic transmission and which offered a little more style than his previous car – the Qashqai which is more practical than desirable in the SUV range!
In terms of the configuration, the driver elected for the following (with only the alloys being the additional factory option):
· Ultimate Black Metallic paint
· Taurus Jet Leather
· Etched Aluminium Veneer
As standard with a Jaguar XE of this calibre you do get some great features, including carpet mats (front and rear), electric mirrors, Bi-xenon lights with LED daytime running function, 6 speaker Jaguar sound system, 18” alloys (although upgrades available as per above), InControl touch navigation, ambient interior lighting, 8-way adjustable front seats, Bluetooth, parking sensors (front/rear), InControl protect and perforated Taurus leather. In terms of additional factory options – consider the privacy glass, alloy upgrades and Black Pack.
From a technical perspective, with CO2 of 111g/km, 67.3 combined MPG and 180ps, you have a car which can satisfy the conscious company car driver. Add to that 0-62mph times of 7.4 seconds and service intervals of every 24months/every 21,000 miles and you have a practical luxury car option.
The Jaguar is a great mid-range executive car lease option but with big competition in the Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4, it is very difficult for any manufacturer to establish any dominance in this category.
