We had the pleasure of handing across another new 17’ plate vehicle with the Jaguar XE Diesel Saloon 2.0d (180) R Sport 4dr Manual over the weekend. Our Glasgow customer, needed a cost-efficient and luxury mid-range saloon for a targeted budget. With choices including the Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3 Series, there was much to consider!
In truth, the Jaguar represented fantastic value for a 2 year contract hire agreement and the customer, who was actually exchanging a Citroen Berlingo van, made his decision particularly quickly. Additionally, the Jag is perhaps far less “commercial” than the other options and the customer wanted a car which wasn’t everywhere on the road.
You cannot argue with the aesthetic design

In terms of specification, the customer’s configuration consisted of:
· Polaris White Solid Paint
· Perforated Taurus sports leather – Jet/Red
· Etched aluminium veneer
In terms of the R-Sport, you do get a great level of specification including heated front seats, front/rear carpet mats, 8-way adjustable driver seat, bi-xenon headlights, ambient interior lighting, 19” alloy wheels, electrically adjustable mirrors, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth, perforated Taurus leather and navigation. In terms of factory extras, you would only need to add privacy glass, the Meridian 380W speaker system and the Black Pack to make this the perfect vehicle.
From a technical perspective, the P11d for standard vehicle is £33,970.00 coupled with CO2 of 109 g/Km; quite a decent company car consideration – particularly with MPG of 67.3. The 6 speed manual engine offers 180ps which gets you to 62mph in 7.4 seconds. And, with service intervals of every 24 months/21,000 miles, the running costs are modest for a 2 year deal. With these vehicle statistics, this is also a good high mileage option.
