Thank you to our existing business leasing customer, based in Golbourne (Wigan), for visiting the CarLease UK team to collect their new luxury lease vehicle – the Mercedes SL.
As a credit broker, not a lender, we work alongside a select number of finance companies and nearly every automotive manufacturer in the UK. For the customer, whether business or personal, this provides a tremendous amount of flexibility on the funding-side in that we can offer bespoke solutions for your term, mileage, funding type and company type.
In some cases, we can look at director or cross-company guarantees for small limited companies (or newly incorporated ones) where required.
As we are not attached to any specific manufacturer, we are able to offer our customer any number of vehicles in an impartial and independent manner. If you want to procure a luxury/high-end vehicle, then our team can offer you any number of options from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Maserati, Porsche or Jaguar.
It is not our ethos to “push” a customer into a specific vehicle; we are very much about offering the facts and circumstances so that a customer can reach an informed decision.
When you walk into a car dealership for a specific brand, do you really receive the same approach?
Delivery of a lease vehicle is something which is often raised during our sales conversations. When you order a new vehicle, our administration and logistics team will organise all of the finance documentation with you and arrange the delivery of the new vehicle to your home or business address.
When a vehicle arrives in stock, it will often take between 5 – 10 days to organise the delivery from the dealership to the end-user.
Some finance companies state that if it is a personal contract hire agreement the vehicle MUST be delivered to a home address and it must be received by the actual end-user i.e. no one can sign for the vehicle on your behalf. In cases of business contract hire, the vehicle may have to be delivered to the premises/head-offices, although anyone will be able to sign for the vehicle.
In terms of how the vehicle is delivered to you, in most cases the vehicle will be physically driven. The vehicle will incur delivery mileage and this is not included within your contract. When the vehicle arrives, if you thoroughly check the outside/inside of the vehicle, the alloys and ensure the handbook/both sets of keys are present, this should allow you to sign for the car. Should you have any concerns, speak to the credit broker or delivery agent before signing for the vehicle – do not sign for the vehicle if there is a serious error. If required, let the team know and we will arrange a transported delivery. This means a vehicle will be loaded onto a truck and transported across to you; you will be the first person to drive the car except the PDI centre.
A transported delivery is often an additional cost in the region of £250 to £400 plus Vat based on the vehicle and location.

Do weigh up the driver-maintained vs funder-maintained arrangement.
