A couple of quick pictures of the Lapisluxury Blue Mini Countryman Diesel Hatchback 2.0 Cooper D 5dr we had on premises at CarLease UK last week.
The Mini, as a range, is very bespoke offering. You tend to have customers who specifically want this car and will not necessarily consider alternative options; in particular when you look at the Mini Paceman, Mini Clubman and Mini Countryman they are distinctive offerings. The latter, which is shown here, is an SUV-style option which might be taken instead of a Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage or Hyundai Tuscon vehicle.
The Countryman offers plenty of choice to a customer with a 2.0 2wd and 4wd (ALL4) option plus a slightly quicker 2.0 S D. Add to that a plethora of packs – Chilli pack, Media Pack, JCW pack to name but a few. All in all, plenty of choice!
In terms of the car shown, the Cooper D, you get a moderate level of specification with 16” alloy wheels, cruise control (and brake function), air conditioning, navigation system, chrome styling, interior light pack and MINI excitement pack.
The Mini Countryman tends to be popular with some of our older and retired personal lease drivers, who want a higher driving position, comfort but don’t enjoy the brash stylings of the alternative options. The Mini is perhaps a little more reserved, like the equally popular Skoda Yeti.
Ona side-note, a question we at CarLease UK get asked a lot is whether there are age restrictions for leasing a car. As contract hire is a credit based, this is the key factor involved here. This means we have customers from 20-85 years old! Being older or retired is definitely not an obstacle for looking at a contract hire option.
