Thank you to our car rental partners Enterprise Leigh (Manchester) for allowing us to photograph some big additions to their fleet – the Nissan Qashqai(s).
For customers with short-term requirements, car rental organisations like Enterprise are the route forwards as opposed to a credit broker like us, CarLease UK. You do have to make a distinction between car rental and contract hire, as this is something which often confuses customers when they have a vehicle requirements.
Whether you should buy, rent or lease is not an easy question to answer. Our suggestion is to liaise with a reputable party for each product and weight up the costs for each product against the needs and requirements of you, or the business.
You should not simply be persuaded by the cheapest monthly rental/purchase cost. Regardless of how cheap something is, if it doesn’t meets your requirements, it will not operate effectively for you.
In terms of the cars shown here, the Nissan QASHQAI DIESEL HATCHBACK 1.5 dCi N-Connecta 5dr Manual, these are based on the following configuration:
· Storm white Pearl Paint
· Cloth – Anthracite
· 18″ Bi-colour alloy wheels
As standard the car includes privacy glass, rain sensing wipers, emergency braking, hill start assist, Bluetooth, around view monitor, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning system, rear view camera, traffic sign recognition, sat nav system, electric folding and heated door mirrors, DAB radio, smartphone apps, body coloured externals, roof spoiler, high beam assist, fog lights, leather steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, alarm, immobiliser and 18” alloys. With Nissan, you cannot add much in the way of additional factory options – only LED pack and Heat Pack. If you want to upgrade your car, consider the glass roof pack (for the panoramic roof) or upgrade to the Tekna model (which adds leather and some additional comfort features).
For company car and business users, note the P11d of £25,955.00 and CO2 at 99g/km for the BiK calculations. The 1461CC 6 speed manual engine delivers 110ps, 74.3 combined MPG and 0-62 times of 11.9 seconds. The service intervals on a diesel Qashqai are every 12 months or 18,000 miles whichever lands sooner.
So would the Qashqai be your selected SUV leasing option? Or would the Kia Sportage, a Peugeot 3008 or Hyundai Tuscon be for you?
