A big thank you to our personal leasing customer, from Yorkshire, for visiting the CarLease UK to collect their brand-new vehicle – the Nissan JUKE HATCHBACK 1.2 DiG-T N-Connecta 5dr Manual.
As an online business it is not always possible to meet our customers face to face. That being said, we do offer a facility whereby customers can visit our premises either to 1) sign the documentation for their vehicle; or 2) to collect their new vehicle.
Once you have agreed to proceed with us on a new vehicle, you will be asked to sign finance documentation. As a credit broker, we work alongside a select number of finance companies and so the documents you sign will depend on the actual finance company who is being utilised for your vehicle. In some cases, our administration team will email to you the documents for you to either scan and return or, in some cases, to sign and return original copies.
In other cases, modernisation of systems means that certain finance companies will offer “e-dcos”, which essentially means you log into a system or portal to sign documents electrically. The latter method can be a tad more complicated but this is generally quicker (and saves a significant amount of paper!).
When the vehicle arrives in stock, and you have organised the signature of documents, you have the option of having the vehicle being delivered to your home or business address or, as per the customer here, you can collect the vehicle from our premises for a more personalised handover.
A delivery of the vehicle is often by a driver, as opposed to a transporter.
Essentially, a representative of a dealership, or logistics company, will personally drive the vehicle to you. The miles the vehicle incurs on this transition are not included within your contract. When the vehicle arrives, we offer a step-by-step guide on what you need to do. In essence, it is a simple check of the vehicle to ensure everything is as per the agreed order and that there are no distinguishable marks/damage/issues with the vehicle. Should you have any concerns, we do take delivery for you and then you can collect the vehicle from our team here at your own convenience.
In terms of the car shown here, the petrol Nissan Juke N-Connecta, this is based on the following configuration:
· Metallic Paint – Pearl Black
· Artificial leather/suede – Black with silver accent
· 17″ Sport alloy wheels
The middle-range vehicle shown here, has a good level of specification – privacy glass, rain sensing wipers, Bluetooth, cruise control, sat nav system, rear view camera, heated door mirrors, body coloured externals, DAB radio, LED running lights, climate control,. Automatic headlights, climate control, artificial leather upholstery, 17” alloys, alarm, immobiliser, intelligent key and sports seats. In-keeping with the brand, there are very little extras you can add other than “personalisation packs” and “exterior packs”. You can improve on the specification range, by electing for the top product – the Juke Tekna.
On the technical-side, company car drivers can note then £18,735.00 P11d and CO2 at 128g/km. The 1197CC 6 speed manual engine delivers 115ps, 49.6 combined MPG and 0-62 times of 10.8 seconds. The service intervals on the petrol Juke are every 12,500 miles. As such, do weigh up the cost benefits of a driver-maintained vs funder-maintained arrangement. With the latter, the cost of all servicing, tyres and maintenance can be included.
So would the Nissan Juke be your choice in the mini-crossover range? Or would you go for the Peugeot 2008, Ford EcoSport, Renault Captur or Vauxhall Crossland X?
