Thank you to our personal lease customer, from Gillingham (Kent), for sending through pictures of their replacement vehicle, the brand-new Nissan Qashqai.
As the most important car within the Nissan range (in the UK), the Qashqai was the first mainstay SUV option across the UK, effectively setting the standard for what has become the most popular segment.
The modern market no longer craves MPV’s, small hatchbacks or convertibles – personal and company cars are now saturated with SUV options.
Ever since the Qashqai, new, and equally exciting options followed with the Ford Kuga, Hyundai Tuscon, Kia Sportage, Peugeot 3008, Vauxhall Grandland X and VW Tiguan, to name but a few!
This appetite is not subsiding and this perhaps at the detriment of other types of vehicles. Added to this is a new desire for a) petrol; and b) automatic transmissions, which is now completely changing the landscape we were so familiar with.
In relation to ordering cars, we have been discussing the notion of cancelling an order for a lease car before delivery. For personal contract hire customers we discussed the relevance of the consumer credit act and consumer contract regulations, which effective provides a 15 day cooling off, so that a customer can cancel the transaction without any costs or consequences (presuming this happened online).
