A big Thank You goes out to our happy personal leasing customer, from Essex, for sending a couple of pictures of their latest luxury lease car – the Range Rover Velar Diesel Estate 2.0 D240 R-Dynamic S 5 Door Auto.
Replacing a Range Rover Evoque, the customer wanted to keep within the same brand, which effectively meant either the same vehicle again, the Discovery Sport or the new Velar.
With a small batch of vehicles with extra-discount available now here at CarLease UK, the Velar above was actually not much more of an additional cost than their current Evoque and was almost on par with a Discovery Sport. The choice was therefore quite an easy one.
The Land-Rover Range Rover Velar is very much a competitor to the BMW X4 and BMW X6 and the Mercedes GLC and Mercedes GLE Coupe, the “sports coupe” SUV vehicles.
Without a doubt the SUV segment is the leading one in the UK automotive industry and the luxury cars are no different.
The need for cars with passenger-space, boot-space, elevated driving position and great specification has never been higher. For many drivers, they need a car which essentially does everything. The SUV, both in the budget and luxury sector, has essentially fulfilled this necessity. In an effort to differentiate cars, manufacturers have invested resource into creating alternatives and variations which help differentiate their product.
The more sleek and sporty type-SUV has just been one of these nuances and this has quickly become a popular type of vehicle in the UK.
In terms of the car shown, the Velar 2.0 D240 R-Dynamic S 5 Door Auto, this is based on the following configuration:

In terms of additional factory specification consider – privacy glass, front parking sensors, head up display and the convenience pack.
On the technical-side, company car drivers can note the standard vehicle has a P11d of £56,310.00 and CO2 at 154g/km. The 1999CC 8 speed auto engine delivers 240ps, 48.7 combined MPG and 0-62 6.8 seconds. Service intervals are set at every 24 months or 21,000 miles, whichever lands sooner. With long-life servicing, do weight up the costs between driver and funder-maintained arrangements.
