Firstly, a big thank you to our car rental partners for yet again allowing us to photograph their latest addition to the fleet.
Say hello to the Renault CAPTUR DIESEL HATCHBACK 1.5 dCi 90 Signature Nav 5dr Auto.
Short-term car hire, i.e. daily/weekly hire, is not something which the team at CarLease UK can offer unfortunately. However, the team at Enterprise Leigh, near Manchester, are on hand to deal with personal and business enquiries and requirements for car hire.
In particular, if you are looking for a new lease vehicle and you do not have a vehicle to use in the meantime, it may be worth speaking to the rental team there, as the process for leasing a car is not an instantaneous one.
When you are looking for a new vehicle from us, it will either be in stock, an allocation based deal (this is where the vehicle has been built and is on route to the UK) or it will be a factory order vehicle (this is a fresh order built bespoke for you). At a minimum, the leasing process will take in and around 2 weeks for a stock vehicles; perhaps a little quicker if you sign on trade premises to waive cooling-off periods. As we are engaged in distance selling, all of our customers get the benefit of a cooling-off period which allows them to cancel the order for any reason whatsoever for up to 14 days from the day after they sign their order.
In terms of allocation/factory orders, the process could take up to 12 weeks. As you are waiting for a vehicle, a short-term car hire could cover this gap for you.
Moving onto the car shown here, the Renault Captur 1.5 dCi 90 Signature Nav 5dr Auto, this is based on the following configuration:
· Metallic – Oyster grey
· Part leather/cloth – Black/grey
· Interior touch pack Chrome – Captur
· 17″ Black Explore alloy wheels
· Diamond black roof and door mirrors
The Signature is very much the elite in the Captur class sitting above the Dynamique and Dynamique S. As standard you get extra tinted glass, hill start assist, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors, cruise control, electric door mirrors (adjustable and heated), body coloured externals, automatic headlights, LED lights, climate control, pollen filter, aluminium pedals, 17” alloys, tyre inflation fit, heated front seats, techno pack and leather steering wheel. There is very little else you could add to the car – additional factory options to consider would be a space saver spare wheel and the black roof (which is a non-cost option).
On the technical-side, company car drivers can note the P11d at £22,920.00 and the CO2 of 103g//km. The 1461CC 6 speed semi-auto engine delivers 90ps, 0-62 times of 13.8 seconds and 70.6 combined MPG. Service intervals are set at every year. If you are looking for a new lease vehicle, always weigh up the costs of a driver-maintained and funder-maintained arrangement. While you don’t have to include funder-maintenance, it is worth considering the benefits of having all your servicing, tyres, maintenance and breakdown recovery included.
So would the Captur SUV/crossover be your choice? With stiff competition in the Peugeot 2008, Vauxhall Mokka, Mazda CX-3, Suzuki Vitara and Nissan Juke, Renault have a big fight on their hands.
With the crossover class of vehicles being the biggest in the UK, manufacturers are all trying to compete to be number one.
