Two big “thank yous” … firstly to our supplying dealer Chris Variava Ltd, based in Nottingham, for sending pictures of this funky crossover – the Jeep Renegade Hatchback Special Edition 1.6 Multijet Night Eagle II 5 Door (browse deals.) And, secondly, to our personal leasing customer, based in Doncaster, for using our credit broker services.
This was actually the first time the customer had pursued personal contract hire and they had raised a couple of queries which we thought we would clarify now to ensure any future customers understand who we are and what we do. As a credit broker, we work alongside a limited number of finance companies and vehicle dealers/suppliers. The prices advertised on our website could be from any number of finance companies that we work alongside and so you do need clarify with us as to which company is being used for your arrangement.
With contract hire, you will never own the car and so the V5 (log book) will be in the possession of the finance company. As the individual driver, you will not be the registered owner. As such, if do want to own the vehicle, you need to consider personal contract purchase or hire purchase at the end of the contract (with contract hire), the vehicle is returned and sold via auction.
CarLease UK are not lender and so you will not pay us directly for the lease of the vehicle. We earn a commission from the finance company for introducing you to them.
All the vehicles we supply are brand-new, so will have the benefit of the full manufacturer warranty. In the case of pre-registered cars, please note that you will have the balance of the warranty e.g. if a car has been registered for 6 months and had a 36 month warranty, at the point of delivery you would have a 30 month warranty period remaining. When you are looking at vehicles, do understand that pre-registered cars are often fantastic value but that you need to take into account the MOT date and the expiry of the warranty. Notwithstanding the fact that vehicles are brand-new, you still need to service and maintain them in order to preserve the warranty.
Each vehicle has a recognised service interval which will be set as either every 12/24 months or every “x” thousand miles.
Do ensure you service the vehicle correctly, as this is your responsibility. If you do want to achieve greater certainty of cost, consider a funder-maintained package to incorporate the cost of all servicing, maintenance, tyres (sometimes punctures) and breakdown recovery.
Can I include insurance with a lease car? Unfortunately, this is rarely something which can be included. There are very few finance companies which offer this to our customer and so we do suggest that you conduct your own research into car insurance before electing to proceed with our vehicles. If you need vehicle values for an accurate quote, just let us know.
