In the last few days, in an interview with Stirling Moss, he has been quoted as saying that he does believe that women have the mental fortitude to compete in F1. He said “I think they have the strength but I don’t know if the have got the mental fortitude to compete in F1”. The interview took place on a Women in F1 special on Radio 5. Susie Wolf, a test driver with Williams in her second year, disagreed, she pointed out that its difficult for Sir Stirling to envisage a women driving an F1 car let alone racing.
