Winter is here – Are you Ready?

Following on from our Safe Winter Driving Tips Blog, we thought it might be useful to follow up with a blog relating to possible vehicles which might be more suitable for the winter weather. As we look out the window this morning, we can see the rain and storms are here, with cold weather due to follow shortly, so I think our blog is more than well-timed!

The ASX – What Can I have?

The Mitsubishi ASX consists of both petrol and diesel engines, although many customers elect for the diesel variant. Within the diesel range, you have the choice of either a 1.8 or 2.2 engine. The latter is necessary should you require automatic transmission.

In terms of specifications, there is a sensible range of choice, each with a fantastic array of extras. The entry model, the ASX 2, offers some of the basics, including 16” alloy wheels, seven airbags, air conditioning, alarm system and Traction Control. If you move up to the ASX 3, the specification quickly grows with the addition of 17” alloys, Bluetooth, climate control, keyless entry, parking sensors and privacy; not bad really!

Our choice (understandably) would be the ASX 4, a car which really offers you everything you could require with a vehicle. This includes leather seats, integrated navigation, panoramic roof, reversing camera, ipod control, front fog lights and Bluetooth; you really are not left wanting with this car.

·         2 years/10,000 miles per annum/non-maintained – This would cost £221.46 plus Vat per month with an initial payment of £1328.76 plus Vat per month;

·         3 years/10,000 miles per annum/non-maintained – This would cost £216.76 plus Vat per month with an initial payment of £1300.56 plus Vat per month;

·         4 years/10,000 miles per annum/non-maintained – This would cost £209.54 plus Vat per month with an initial payment of £1257.24 plus Vat per month;

We think that this reflects particularly good value, as you are able to procure a 4WD car, with a handsome level of extras, from just £251.45 per month including Vat! Not to mention this also offers a great level of extras which are perfect for winter conditions such as hill start assist, active stability and traction control, rear view camera and brake assist. The icing on the cake? The heated front seats which will definitely keep you warm during the colder months.
