The British built Qashqai and the Japanese built Juke are already popular private cars. They are now also leading the personal leasing sales tables, following the releases of the face lifted versions
The Juke broke one million sales last year, just in time for the facelift launch. Nissan introduced the 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine, another engine following the trend of small and efficient if required but big performance if needed. It is not immediately obvious, but the new model is over 40% larger inside, but clever French styling has made the car appear identical
Slightly earlier, Nissan launched the facelift Qashqai and if demand for the car from us is anything to go by, this will be a great seller in 2014, with personal leasing leading the way. The new model is simply gorgeous. The drive of the new Qashqai has benefited from the Renault engineers chassis expertise and their ability to build a great chassis. The ESP is always handling the motion of the car but you won’t notice it. Subtle traction changes and minor braking, all automatically controlled, have given it the feel of a very upmarket car
