Thank you to our personal leasing customer, from Billinge (Wigan), for visiting the CarLease UK team with their brand-new luxury car – the Jaguar XF Estate.
As an existing customer of our van lease team, they were familiar with the concept of car leasing and had already made the decision not to purchase the car. One of the main incentives was that the car shown is a special edition model and, as a cash price, is an expensive vehicle. Added to that is the uncertainty of depreciation, road fund licence (£500 plus per year) and expensive hire purchase payments. In contrast, the contract hire route allowed the customer to use the vehicle for 2 years (with the ability to extend), take care of the road find licence (included in the monthly rental) and arrange a contract which meets their needs and requirements.
With a car of this value, if depreciation is particularly aggressive, you could run the risk of being many thousands of pounds out of pocket.
With contract hire, the finance company absorb this depreciation risk for you. Conversely, if the car depreciates slowly, the benefit of any profit is taken by the finance company and is not shared with the end user.
In terms of the car shown here, the Jaguar XF SPORTBRAKE 2.0i [300] 300 Sport 5dr Auto AWD (PETROL), this is based on the following configuration:
· Metallic Paint
· Perforated grained leather – Ebony with yellow contrast stitching

· 19″ 5 spoke satin grey diamond turned alloy wheels – style 5035
· Privacy glass
As standard the car includes heated front seats, InControl pro navigation, 10-way electric front seats, 180W sound system, 19“ alloys, heated door mirrors, LED daytime running lights, climate control, ambient interior lighting, cruise control, xenon headlights, metal tread plates with “300” branding, powered tailgate, rain sensing wipers, 350mm front brakes, black brake callipers, blue tinted glass, emergency brake assist, hill start assist, traction control, trailer stability assist, carpet mats with yellow contrast stitching, self-levelling rear suspension, Bluetooth, lane departure warning, rear parking aid, front parking aid, front facing stereoscopic camera, pro servicers, auto dimming rear view mirror, traffic sign recognition, DAB radio, roof spoiler, automatic lights, 300 branded steering wheel, bright metal foot plates, Jaguar sense and drive selector, keyless start, immobiliser, sports eats, 4-way lumbar support (electric), anti-whiplash seats and autonomous braking. On the technical-side, company car and business users can note the P11d at £49,685.00 and CO2 at 177g/km for working out company car tax liabilities. The 1997CC 8 speed auto engine delivers 300ps, 36.2 combined MPG and 0-62 times of 6 seconds. The service intervals on a petrol XF are every 12 months or 16,000 miles, whichever lands sooner.
So would you select the Jaguar XF sportbrake as your next car leasing option? Or would the BMW 5 series tourer, E-Class estate from Mercedes or the Audi A6 Avant or the Volvo V90 estate get your vote?
