Thank you to our leading BMW supplier, BMW Park Lane for sending the new luxury SUV, which is the BWM X3, for our CarLease UK team to test and review.
Without doubt, our newest offers on this car is one of the best deals to grab just before the Christmas period.
As a credit broker, not a lender, we work alongside a select number of finance companies – Lex, Leaseplan, Hitachi, Alphabet and Santander (to name a few). What this means for the customer, is that the leasing broker/company they are liaising with is NOT the entity which is underwriting them or is buying the car for arrangement. What we do is select the most suitable finance company based on the facts you, as a customer (personal or business) present to us – this could be price, underwriting criteria, term, mileage or any specialist requirements.
Not every finance company is the same, and so you do need to speak to your credit broker at the earliest possible opportunity to discuss any requirements/issues which are likely to influence the finance company which they introduce you to.
In exactly the same way, a credit broker/leasing company is not the “supplier”. This means that in addition to introducing you to a finance company, they will also introduce you to a specific franchised dealer/dealer network to supply your vehicle (this includes passing on your details for the purposes of delivery). Since the revisions under GDPR, managing customer details and personal data has become the upmost important for all parties connected within these transactions. To provide customers with complete comfort that their details are being managed securely and responsibly, we offer not only our own privacy policy but those policies for each of the finance companies and funders we work alongside.
Additionally, we can supply the privacy policy for the supplier we decide to use for your new car or van. However, for confirmation, we do add in our own privacy policy that we will use your data to arrange the order and subsequent delivery of the vehicle.
Apart from any further issues which may arise with the vehicle e.g. fault with the car/scratch on the car at delivery, there should be no reason for the supplying dealer to contact you. During the course of the transaction, the credit broker should remain your primary point of contact.
As we mentioned above (and will discuss below), the new X3 deal on the M Sport diesel is a great addition to our BMW leasing deal repertoire. Over the last two years’, the incredible demand for SUVs has surprised most of us in the leasing market. Moving away from traditional methods of car ownership, the leasing industry has been more updated in supplying customers exactly what they want.
Quite clearly, this is the SUV, as manufacturers now recognise through the various products they offer and the deals which they supply. Take BMW who now have an X1/X2/X3/X4/X5/X6 and now an X7! They have literally covered every single part of the SUV market; small to big, cost-competitive to luxury.
While their other product is still popular, it is fair to say that this is dwindling in comparison to the SUV product. As such, customers searching for “the best leasing deals 2018” are going to find a lot of SUV and crossover vehicles in their search!

So would you select the BMW X3 as your next car leasing option? Or would the Range Rover Velar, Mercedes GLC or Jaguar F-Pace get your vote?
Selecting the dealer to supply your vehicle is an important decision for us. For most of our BMW business, we have decided to use BMW Park Lane on the basis of a tried and tested relationship over the last 5 years. One of the first things to be clear to our customers about is that it doesn’t always go right. There are instances of delays, mistakes and damage; this is the reality for any automotive business. The issue for us is not that things go wrong – it is how the problem is managed and resolved which is most important to us.
Over the years Park Lane corporate team, in particular Adrian and Marius, have ensured that our all of our customers have received the standards of service we expect.
This is not say other BMW dealerships cannot meet these standards, as we do work alongside other fantastic entities. The aim is to ensure that the finance company, dealer and broker all work together cohesively and ensure the process delivers the right result for the customer.
